SMART CHANGE
We want our young people to become well rounded citizens, therefore will give classes including the following themes:
Morality and ethics - Teaching young people why we want a better world and how they can contribute to it by making good decisions and not following the crowd
Taking care of the environment - Developing countries are no less responsible for protecting our planet but their governments place little emphasis on this, therefore we will teach its importance and how to achieve it.
Supporting the elderly or disabled - Providing emotional support to people who are lonely or have no family, through a buddy programme which would foster unity within communities and help those who have no family members to feel appreciated and taken care of
First aid and emergency care - Teaching basic first aid as very few young people would know how to help somebody who is choking, has an accident or suffers burns
Life skills and preparation - Ensuring that young people have the skills and knowledge necessary to participate and thrive in the world
Sex education and appropriate behaviours - Demonstrating the importance of respecting and protecting your body, as teenage pregnancy rates are extremely high and young sexual activity is normalised
